Once a working Keepers Cottage in the heart of the Thrumster Estate, the property was constructed in the mid-1800’s. Sleeping four in one kingsize room and one double room, the property features a cosy lounge with log-burner, a large fully equipped kitchen and is situated next to estate’s vegetable garden.
Surrounded by twenty acres of estate woodland and gardens which display snowdrops, daffodils, bluebells, wild garlic and blue poppies through the seasons, it’s a peaceful place for quiet country walks.
Thrumster is an excellent base for exploring the activities and attractions of Caithness, being a short drive from the amenities of Wick (10 minutes), Thurso (30 minutes) and John O’Groats (35 minutes). Thrumster Estate is part of the Flow Country – recently recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
All towels, bed linens, heating/electricity charges and firewood are included in your stay at Keeper’s Cottage. A washing machine is available. The property is dog-friendly. Wi-Fi is available.
