Thrumster Estate

Thrumster House is a lived-in family home that has been welcoming visitors on holidays, sporting and fishing trips for many years. Here you will find a warm highland welcome and a house full of character and atmosphere. We are very pet friendly and have dogs at Thrumster as part of our family.

 

We have availability of 6 self catering cottages and an apartment and bed and breakfast for up to 6 people, all our accommodation is pet friendly

 

We are  ideally situated on the famous Northcoast500 route and are 40mins drive to the ferry for Orkney which you can take a day trip or longer.The Castle of Mey, the Queen Mother's holiday home is open to visitors and is 40mins drive from Thrumster.

 

The surrounding area has some lovely woodland walks, and even has an Iron aged Broch in the grounds, some 2 miles away is the Yarrows Archaeological Trail which is one of the largest concentrations of neolithic remains in Europe.

Why not try your hand at a spot of Fly fishing too, we have a ghillie on hand that can guide you.
